5.0L Conversion
I heard a while ago that you could put a 5.0L from a mustang into a miata, and they made a kit for this. Well i was wondering if i would be able to do the same with a 93 B2200? I have been looking for a while now and have come up with nothing so any info that anyone has please email me at nehassapassapenalotta@hotmail.com. Thanks

Why
How about a Turbo Rotary? It's lighter, part of the Mazda Family, and all in all a cooler engine than a 4.9L, plus it has a better power to weight ratio, and if done right can be made to have a good amount of torque (with the correct setup and fuel maps on a Haltech).
Better yet, a 3rotor 20b. The potential for this engine can far surpass any 4.9L Ford.
If this sounds good, head on over to the forum at nopistons.com and ask around. Otherwise, i'd suggest finding a mustang forum and ask there. Either way, you're probably looking at a good amount of fabrication and hard work.

Yea I have a 86 b2000 and i want to put in a fuel injected
5.0 I am going to use a painless wiring harness but i was wandering about motor mounts.
i woul use a rotary but i like to shift gears more often than every 5 minutes
I dont want to rev to 48000 rpms b4 shifting
i dont want to sound like a bumblebee in a coke can
no offence i like the power you can get from a 1.3 but not the other stuff that goes with it

The mounts on a 5.slow engine should be a breeze to fabricate for any shop with some experience.. You will also need a tranny crossmember.. There is a shop called Ultimatecustoms.com in cananda.. they used to make V8 swap Parts for B series trucks.. try checking them out or doing a search for their products..

Rotary Misconceptions
Your description of a rotary counldn't be further from the truth. The rotary has a l-a-r-g-e torque band. With the high redline, and proper gearing, there are actually less gear changes. And you SHOULD be able to rev like crazy, and get power... unlike other engines where you rev and the power drops off.
The sound issue is a matter of exhaust you put on. If you shop around, or come out to a large event like SevenStock, you will hear some sweet sounding exhausts. Better sounding that V8's IMHO.
