Lol !

As in, 'awesome setup!' for under the hood, or as in awesome 'setup' for 'REPU-tation'? Priceless!
You got me... kinda like, "Hey, that's one of theose 'Pimp trucks', isn't it?"
Latest on-topic thoughts to cross my mind: Isn't a 390 cfm kinda small? ...that's like the old stock carb...
What degree of porting/polishing is desirable for a 6-port SC engine?
What's the 'real deal' on 2nd-gen & newer water seal, etc. reliability as vs. the GSL-SE version? I just found a claim that the GSL-SE ones are more desirable for higher output motors due to their superior longevity...

I am not trying to stay butted in this conversation, however from the info i think i know, I asked Dave (not related and not funny) about the SC set ups the 390 is enough because the sc pulls more than that through it, i can't quote the numbers but what i found impressive was the low end torque that they were getting

the other part on the reliability, i have not had an issue with "REBUILT" 86-88s i know that there are some mods that are standard now ie shaft pressure regualtor etc, in fact i routinely instal the 86 type in GSL-SEs instead of the original ones, as far as cooling and housings i found them to be superior but you have to remember we are pushing the limits much more on the new engines than we ever did on the old ones

Thanks dave!

Far as I'm concerned there's no 'butting in' issues whatsoever! I'm just seeking to learn as much as possible... I appreciate all info/education about any aspects with which I'm as yet unfamiliar!
I fully realize that this setup, as depicted, is a steal at the offered price. I also feel that the warranty added some value, while in effect...
I still need to be 100% apprised of the situation before going that much farther into debt; I'm sure you guys understand how that is!
Plus, I've learned way too much the hard way in the past, and I'm not into repeating any of those lessons...

Hey klaus, are you interested in the motor - or just giving me a bad time? Seriously, I agree with what you are saying.
Dave is out until after the first. I just want him to be aware that he may be bombarded with questions.

Not trying to give you a bad time!

Just trying to get you to spill ALL the details of this beauty's build! Yes, of course I'm interested... but whether or not I can justify/afford the payments ofn the additional debt to own it really depends on how much of a 'steal' it really is...
Bottom line, I'm not looking forward to a huge cash flow for the coming months... but it just might be the REPU powerplant of my dreams... I do have enough good credit to bury myself with, though... always tough to self-control!
Details... details...

Don't suppose you have a use/buyer for a 27-foot '69 Chevy bus ? --in really nice shape for it's age-- featuring a 6'5" interior ceiling height, stock factory military style...
original 350 v-8, 4-bolt main powerplant...
Seats mostly removed...
Runs and drives; I had my shop in it, but no longer need since I got my house. I was asking $1750; I'd take $1000 cash right now...

Just checking!

So... how 'bout that invoice # ? Email me, if you don't wanna post it for the whole world! klausdp@efn.org

Happy New Year to you! Cheers, K.

I guess it would be a good idea to include the #'s! Here they are: The invoice numbers for my purchase from Atkins Rotary are # 7024 and # 972759
