74 REPU for sale

'74 REPU for sale:

Ext. Color: Blue
Engine Status: 13B non-operational, removed from vehicle
Tranny: Original 4 speed manual
Tires: less than 100miles on tires
Bench seat: newly re-upholstered
Vehicle location: Santa Cruz County, California

Summary: Vehicle ran for several years until I transferred the original 13B engine to an Rx-4. The engine core that will come with this car is not the engine that came with the vehicle.

Note: Racing Beat header and pre-silencer also available seperately.

Hello DubbayoC,

When I initally bought the Rx-4 where this engine came from, that car was not running. The guy I bought it from said it smoked a lot the last time he started it years before and that it ran rough. He was not a rotory-wrencher, so he really didn't know what was wrong. He did know that it wouldn't pass smog, so he couldn't drive it in Cali. I suspect that the seals went bad on him. Anyway, I had another working 13B, so I didn't need to spend time getting this engine to work. It did sit outside for months, so there is some rust on the exposed end of the ecc. shaft. That can be removed, but I can't vouch for the inside of the engine and if it is rebuildable or not.....thus the cheap price!

$500 is ok. I will sell this REPU to the first person who can come, collect it and pay for it.
