My REPU put 144 hp and 125 tq to the ground
REPU put 144 hp and 125 tq to the ground. old school 13b 4port mild streetport, 48mm dell, 39mm chokes. 100mm twm bellmouth stacks, header and exhaust, msd6al and magnecore wires.
That's 169 at the flywheel with 15% drivetrain loss but real dynoshops and my engine builder say it's 20% with helical gear trans, and 2 piece driveshaft, heavy 3rd member...
Nice flat torque curve.
I have a 2.2 meg video if anyone wants it emailed to them.

So it might even be
...more like 175 hp, considering 20% losses? (Nice!)
That 'blip' in the air/fuel between 2 and 4K RPM... on a 4-barrel, I would've said that must be where the secondaries are opening... on your Dellorto, what does that transition mean?

the dip down is accelerator pump jet being too big we think. even thuough i'm using the RB approved size 80. After that it is lean for a few hundred rpms then goes into a nice curve. I might richen up the bottom end, lean out top, and go with a smaller pump jet.
The other carbed rotaries that day did the same thing at the beginning of their runs. stock 12a w/nikki, stock 12a with mikuni.

Very cool. I want to get mine on the dyno now that the Weber is jetted somewhat close to how it should be. I am sure I will see all kinds of strange dips and spikes on my curve. I was hoping for numbers close to what you got, but I think that is a bit optimistic for my stock port 6-port.
For that blip, does the accelerator pump have an effect once the pedal is down and the rpms are climbing? I dont know anything about sizing that jet, and didnt worry much about it because I thought it only took effect while the pedal is going down? Also I didnt mess with it because I dont know where it is, unless that is the one in the bottom of the bowl. Maybe that is where my hesitation during idle to main jet transition is coming from?
I wanna see the video, I can host it. I will send you my email address. thanks

Hi Tom!
Accelerator pump only pumps gas when gas pedal is being depressed. Once it's floored, accelerator pump does not do anything, and the main circuit of the carb takes over. Which is what we jet for 99% of the time on the dyno. Main fuel, main air, emulsion tube, etc... I don't know where the acclerator pump is on the weber, I'd reccomend getting the 'how to powertune weber and dellorto.... carbs...." book
idle to main jet transition is typically too small an idle fuel jet, as that controlls the progression circuit. Could also be accelerator pump jet but to be sure, drive in like 3rd gear, 5000rpms and floor it. If it still hesitates, it's the accel. At that rpm and gear, the carb is on the main circuit already so the idle jets don't come into play.
