Cruise to buttonwillow April 21st? Watch some racing
I'm REPUing up to Buttonwillow, CA on 4/21 to watch the NASA amateur road racing at the track. If anyone wants to go let me know so we can caravan. Theres also an enduro race that evening starting at 7pm. A few rotary powered cars are always there.

I'd like to leave the Inland Empire around 10am, get there around 1:30p. Late Lunch at the track. Dinner in town.
It's usually $10 to get thru the gate, sit anywhere bring a folding chair.

50% sure I have my day free, 100% sure I want to go.
I should know soon, who else has planned the event?

I've always wanted to go to that. I wish I could make it but I'm working all weekend. :(
At least you'll get to see some rotaries for sure!

Either day sounds good, too.
Didn't Malcolm Smith race a REPU in the B2V or Baja 1000?

great, name the time
quote: Why don't we do Saturday. We could meet close to the track, there's a Rite Aid on Mission Trail with a big lot that's not busy. Don't know about Malcolm but that would be SWEET.
I'll be there, hope to meet with others too. Here is a link to Malcolm Smith, From the movie,"on any Sunday" to his winnings with a REPU here.

How about 1:30pm Saturday @ Rite Aid?
I'm going to buy a ticket online as I hear they could sell out. You might want to too Tim.
See you there, and I'll be driving the Amigo. REPU's heating system is in pieces and there's a hole in the floor I gotta patch.

Tim
I wish I could make it but I'm working all weekend. :(
See you next time Max.
P.S. Maybe we can schedule a stop at Malcolm Smith Motorsports for a autograph signing on, maybe our compartment/ cup holder doors, on a future club ride!

Great idea Brad. I enjoyed the day out there and dinner afterwards. I'm pretty sure I had the only REPU in the parking lot.
I had a great drive home thru Bundy canyon, just 2 stops and no traffic. The truck loved the moist evening air too.

That was a good time. Glad to see you again Tim. Off-road dirt racing was enjoyable and vendor row an eye opener.
Yeah I felt those margaritas the next day. Great food too!
