so have at least 1 of everything
also have 3 steel valances
6 centre grills
3 sets of side grill pieces
2 hoods 1 from a 77 1 from a 74

Wow buy one of each and it comes out to a price of a nice truck on ebay. Thats rather spendy. Oh well its your stuff and you can ask what you want for them. This exactly what turns people off about trying to put one of thee trucks together. Some think the truck and specially parts are more valuable than gold. That is a high price for a good economy let alone what the economy is like now.

Well...
Clean, rust-free, and perfectly straight ("NOS") steel valances *have* fetched that, and more... sometimes.
I've never seen a hood go for that -- but I've looked into shipping one, and it'll cost about that much just to ship, because it's considered 'Freight' due to it's dimensions... (unless you're prepared to ship it flat in the bottom of a Greyhound bus, that is).
A *Really nice* condition center grille, minus the badges... my guess, around $125.
Mint, NOS (or show-quality restored) center emblem has gone for as much as $400, or more (!)
'Side Grilles' might be priced just about right, provided they are perfectly intact and the 'chrome' is in good condition, IMO.
...and then there's whatever might be involved with getting parts out of Canada.
(Just IMO, and my $0.02 American, mind you!)
((Speaking of which...: What's the hardest-to-find in flawless condition at any price REPU part? The Cab. ...))
BTW, repu74 -- I didn't mean to come off as a complete ass in that other thread... I'll be more than happy to see if I've got a spare set of tailgate chains for you, (now that I remember -- duh!) -- just email me, and let me know what they might reasonably be worth to you. Also, if you'll provide your ship-to address, I'll be able to let you know about how much they'll cost to ship... (I recommend FedEx Ground as the least expensive -- and I don't charge any more for shipping than it actually costs.) ;)

It is getting a little out of hand.If anyone wants to know what any of this is worth put one item one ebay twice or three times and you will see the true market. It is what it is! Let me remind you guys .. You cant be buried with all of your trucks and or parts that you are hoarding when you die and the longer things get hoarded the worse shape they become and the price keeps going up. Go figure. People should be enthusiast and enjoy the trucks for what they are and not think it is some stellar comodity to hang on too. Its a shame for the real REPU guy that is all motivated and excited to put his truck together and the parts and pieces are becoming unbearable to buy because people are price gauging. Some call it a market and I call it price gauging. If its not gauging then put it up for auction on ebay and get what the market bares. Plus all the promises people make to help or to sell or supply parts and not going through with it is becoming ridiculous as well.
....nevermind.
Perhaps turning 'em in for the scrap value (which is still pretty high) is just what I oughta do, then.
FleaBay? Been there...
You're not paying to ship any REPU's anywhere... are you?

Maybe you should scraped your trucks but remember they dont like rust! People have been asking you for years for stuff and and it never comes to fruition. Thats why I/we all laugh when you say I will go look. What do you mean when you say you will go strip your stuff down? Isnt it already in pieces and stripped? I would have NO problem paying for anything or for shipping fee's but its people like you that think your stuff is gold. Like you said the emblem 'have' gone for 400 dollars in the past so does that mean when gold goes to 400 per ounce I should ask for 800 because thats what is it was at one time. NOOOOO wake up to the real world. I never offered you any monies for the chains because I know you are a bullshitter! And to be honest it was kinda of a joke for some friends one here to see what you would say and you were right on the mark and we all laughed. All you are is a back yard queen that is all talk.
