Oki doki, let's keep this rolling. By no means should we stop the list at ten people. The more the better so hopefully this can actually happen.
Once we get an actual estimate people might have to leave a deposit. The last thing we need is Bruce or another fabricator getting stuck with a bunch of fenders for a truck that has such a small following.
I'd really like to see this happen though since restoring the originals would be more expensive, fiberglass won't rust, and a set of spares would always be nice too!
So anyone contact Bruce at Pineapple yet?

This is Rob's response:
"I can price out the sets. It will not be cheap, I am expecting over $200/fender, $400/pair. Still interested? rob"
It looks like it would be over $400+ plus shipping. Everyone still a go?

That is not a bad price at all!!! I think it is totally worth it as long as the part comes out as nice. Did he give you any ETA for the fenders?
I'd also be willing to do a deposit if neccessary to get the ball rolling.

Folks, these are not bad prices at all. I'm sure most of our fenders would require more than 2-3 hours time for body prep. The cost to repair our fenders would cost more than a fiberglass replacement. Let's not forget about rust either...
If you can do your own bodywork you gotta figure your time is worth something. For me, if I can save any amount of time I'll go for it because you never know what other gremlins come up that will waste a huge amount of time.

Not Bad
$400 isn't all that bad. I'm still in and can do a deposit to help get it started.
I was very happy with the fiberglass valance.

I will contact Rob and ask him how he wants to handle taking money. I don't want to personally take any money. This would all be Rob's business (just like ther valences). I would expect the quality to be at the same level as Rob's other parts.

BTW, Rotary Pickup thanks for contacting Rob and proposing this! Did you send him a link to this thread?
I'll buy one of his lower valances too so he knows REPU's aren't a lost cause.

Just talked with Rob... He'll confirm the pricing in the next couple of days after he brings a fender down to his glass guy. He still has to check to see if he has "virgin fenders" though... so...
1. Does anyone in the North West have a set of Virgin Fenders that they'd be willing to have molds made from?
2. Rob's shop is always super busy. He'd like to have someone local to do some of the work test fitting the first set. That means coming down to the shop, taking off the front fenders and putting them on. You'd have to do the work yourself, as it would save him time, and reduce the cost for all of us if Rob didn't have to tear apart one of his trucks for a test fitment.
Anyone in the Northwest willing to do one or both of these things? It would go along way for our REPU community!
