Back in September I talked to him on the phone and ordered up a set. Got them within a week and they look great. I had them on the truck just in time for sevenstock. Did you ever hear back from him?

I only got the Mazda sticker and ROTARY POWER. They fit perfect and looked exactly like the originals. I am very happy with how they turned out.

Brad

Any chance of you making up some replacement decals for the air box lid? I'd like to paint mine, but keep the decals if possible.

Sure!

However I don't have a factory air box lid. So if I could get a picture and some measurements I'd be glad to try to reproduce it.
Once I see the photo I'll be able to give you an idea on price.

Thanks,

Brad C.

They were actually pretty easy to install. Just make sure you have it good and straight the first time because you cant really correct it once it hits.

I just went left to right, going super slow rubbing my finger up and down the leading edge to keep any air bubbles out. I think I actually used part of another sticker backing to protect my finger from friction burns.

Once you are done if you have any tiny bubbles that you just cant get out you can poke a hole in them with a pin or razor blade then flatten it.

I goofed....

Brad

I sent you an email on a piece of replacement striping for the tailgate and the drivers side. Did you get it?
In case you haven't, I need another stripe kit just for the top part of the fender and door, that double stripe?
What's gone on so far is really looking sharp!

I 'Absolut' ly can't get hold of 'Brad C'. :)

Where'd ya go, dude, truck looks funny with half done striping. Don't worry, it was MY fault, I just have to buy another strip from you.

I will say, the quality of the decals was really top drawer!

Never Mind..

Got him by phone, very busy guy. All of you need to consider Brad's decals, they're really excellent quality.
Juans are superb as well, both guys have slightly different styles.
Take advantage of these guys while they're around!

In the next few weeks I have to go to my shirt and sticker guy. I will see what they could do a tailgate sticker set for.

I started talking to xlr8planet (rx7club/rotarycarclub member) about making a reproduction ROTARY POWER sticker for us. Ive bought some other stickers from him and the quality and service is great with many options beyond simple diecut sticker colors (silver, carbon fiber etc). Since I have no original for him to work from I will be sending him the dimensions of the originals and we will be estimating the font as best we can. Once he gets this info I can get a price and see who else is interested.

Does anyone have the vector files for the stripe kit? I understand that Brad (absolut) is busy, but the vintage rotary crowd has been let down before. If anyone were willing to publish the vector files, we could have a known-good design that's always available. I'll be happy to host the files at vintagerotaries.org.
