B2600i 4x4 engine help
I picked up a 90 b2600i in good shape for $500. It just needs a motor.
I'm thinking of swapping in the 3.0 from a MPV. Will it bolt to the 5 speed? Do motor mounts need to be changed? I know a wiring harness & ecm is required but what else?
My main concern is that it bolts to the transmission. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

This is a ROTARY truck forum...
...and I'm very sorry, I have no idea. Now, if you would be interested in swapping in a rotary drivetrain, I'd be thrilled to offer words of encouragement and support, and offer that your thread might be best posted under the 'Non-REPU rotary trucks' heading...
Best of luck!

.
I don't think a rotary would work in a 2600i 4x4 would it? Would it be good for off-road mud/water etc..?

Rotaries are as good as you build them. I was chatting with a guy from Australia last weekend who supplies apex seals to a series of mud-blogging race vehicles (can't really call them cars, nor trucks)
With the proper gearing, a rotary can out-perform a piston.

Gotta love the power-to-weight ratio!
...perhaps a more pertinent question would be, might you prefer free-revving power to something based on torque and a heavier flywheel?

rotary will work
The rotary engine will bolt right up to the b2600i tranny if you use a fc bellhousing..
