Hmmm. Priced too high for a car with changed interior. What else is changed, I wonder?

A fellow here in the SF area bought one of the original 6 cosmos delivered to Curtis Wright for about $25k with about 10k miles, IIRC.About 2 years ago. Did some restoration on it and sold it about a year ago for about the same price.

Jay Leno does indeed have a cosmo, but with a 12A instead of the original 10A IIRC. But that's not the only other cosmo in the US. There's a couple down in New Mexico, IIRC, who are restoring one, and there are maybe a half dozen more.

Anyway, if you're interested in a cosmo do some research first before buying. I've had two chances to buy good ones at about $25k in the last 5 years, Unfortunately, had to pass on both because I had too many other time and money projects to add the cosmo.

I've got files on cosmos SOMEPLACE on one of my computers, but where?

One of the guys was Wayne Tang, I believe, maybe in Oakland, maybe a dentist. I think there was an article about him and his car in Motor Trend about 2003.

Another restoration was followed in the RX-7club.com forum, probably in the 1st gen or other rotary sections a couple years ago.

I'll try to dig up more info when I get more time.
