Went out and got a 74

I went out and picked up a 74 repu 30 mins ago.
It's for my brother, he needs a good truck and this one has been in the paper for about a mouth. I droped 750 for it and drove it home. Runs and drivers pretty well. It was a much better deal then my repu that I paid 700 for. It is all stock though, witch is good for him. Cause he doesn't need a power house, I need the power house. heh

Ill post photos of it very soon.

Wow!

All stock, runs and drives... and a good price! Very cool... How straight is it, how rusty/rust free, and how much does it smoke when you start it cold? Color, mileage? So stock it's still got the thermal reactor and air pump??? Amazing!... Hope your brother fully appreciates what he's getting... but then again, being your bro, that would be likely, eh? :) Congratulations!

NICE!

You scored, my friend! Who cares if the valance is trashed... since 98% of 'em are... and it's got the 'wrong' tailgate/back bumper? None of that matters, really... not even the missing hood trim, though no doubt it would've been nice... you got a straight bumper and grill! You got OG 'towing' mirrors! It's blue, it's straight, and it runs. You're lovin' it! Even looks practically rust-free... (and I've never seen those overriders on a REPU before...) Very cool! I'm getting jealous... :)

Yep...

...them's what I was talkin' 'bout! Most folks seem to dislike 'em on other oldschool rotaries, like rx-4's... but then again, those were much, much bigger... these look more like the small size common to old rx-3's.

I had some of those on my 74 Courier. I have never seen them on the REPU.

...but did they save, or damage

that bumper...? Might best be left in place, until time comes to fill the extra holes... I hear ya, Carey! I'm kinda a purist myself... :)

Yeah....I know I tend to be kind of anal about my cars. On the new ones (the ones ya can easily get parts for) a nut would fall off and I would order one from the dealer.

My REPU was missing mirrors and I had to force myself to go to Pep Boys the other day. :)
