NWACOs Gaskets are top-notch

Hey this is a long overdue thanks to Ken (and Craig for donating the sample gasket) for reproducing a much needed part for the community here.

I took him up on his special offer for us members and got a set of four cheap cheap cheap. I don't know why he's not selling these on Ebay, where I imagine he could get $20-$30 a set but he's still selling them to members for his cost or less.

If you don't stock up with at least two sets you're going to regret it that much I can tell you. He packs them layered with wax paper and sealed in plastic so if you rub a thin layer of lithium grease on them and store them in a cool dark place they look as though they'll keep indefinitely.

For what he's charging I'm grabbing a couple more sets. I'd like to think he'll always be able to supply them for us, but shit happens and I wouldn't want to miss the chance to have them for next to nothing.

Anyway, I'm one happy camper and had to share.

Are those the tail light lense gaskets? I was thinking of ordering a set a while back but completely forgot about it. Will have to look into that again. Thanks for letting us know how they came out.

Oops, yeah. Tail light gaskets.

They're made of rubber. Well not natural rubber, you know.

They're nice and pliable though. Good thickness. I have all my old gaskets still (they're dried up though) and they match all dimensions.

Craig lent him a brand new gasket to make the mold. He's doing side marker gaskets next I think.

I'd grab a couple sets while they're available.

If I hadn't snagged...

... a set of the NOS ones before they became extinct, I'd be all over it! As it is, I'm definitely up for a set (or three) of ALL of the gaskets he's got in the works... wish they were all available already! Maybe by the time they are, I'll actually have some shiftknobs made...
Nice to know they rock, though! Thanks, Ken!

Thanks Martin, for the positive feedback...

I certainly appreciate it. They are the tail light gaskets. I have sold about twenty sets or so. Yea, they are underpriced. I sold a few on Ebay for $20.00. I have two sets left and I guess I should make a few more sets incase you all feel the need to make a run on the stockpile. I have a good mold and can make a set in a day or two depending on how busy I get. They are made out of a high grade industrial silicone so they should last a lot longer than the old buytl originals or us for that matter.

I have made the patterns for the turn signal gaskets, but I still have to make and drill up the outside form. If I don't get distracted too much, I should have some ready later this year. My long term goal of course is to be in position to offer up a complete set of tail, turn, back-up, marker, and airbox gaskets.

But don't you all worry about getting some, there will be enough for all. And if you see them on ebay, you can bid on them to drive them up a bit, but don't win cause you get em for cheaper with the family discount anyway.

Thanks, Ken!

Now, about that set... might it include mirror base gaskets, as well as possibly some other assorted rare gasket-type goodies? After all, any rubber part no longer available NOS is gonna need replaced pretty soon... and even the NOS stuff isn't getting any less brittle.
