That engine should fit in his pickup.. The tranny might not bolt up but you might be able to swap the bellhousings.. Why would you want to put your 2200 in a 2600 truck, does his have no engine? or is it messed up.. The B2600 makes more power than your b2200, maybe you could fix the other engine..

b2200-b2600

It will fit, however the 2.6 could barely pull the 4x4, if
your were to put in the 2.2 you would not have enough power
to go 4 wheeling. If both engines are carbureted not to hard,
if they are fuel injected you spend countless hours trying
to swap everthing over. Better to find a b2200 that needs a
motor.

This probably won't help you but what year is the B2600? If it's an '86, why not try a rotary?

Riding Lawn Mower...

I've heard about those lawn mower racers...too bad they're restricted to a briggs engine block! Can just imagine a 10A racing mower...! (Or even a rotary powered kart for the seriously deranged!)

0 to 60 I'm sure will be way better than the boinger.

Atkins builds single rotor 13Bs that would probably do really well on a riding lawn mower. Speaking of a 10A, I'm seriously considering rebuilding my '73 12A which is the spitting image of a 10A, other than the slightly wider rotor housings. But a 10A would be cool for the novelty of it all. Speaking of novelty, well, I'll just see how the rebuild goes with a set of '83-'85 12A rotors, which were the lightest unmodified rotors available, instead of the clunky old dual side seal type, and an auto rear counterweight I plan to use (something the old RX-2 engines never had). Hmm, I wonder if someone could build some 10A rotors with better seals etc?

You didn't mention that the 2600 needed a rebuilt top end on the first post.. So sorry if that seemed a bit rude.. Anyways like someone else mentioned, the B2600 that your buddy has is carbed, and it has only about 110-120HP.. A B2200 engine has only about 70-80HP.. so it would struggle pushing all that extra weight and strain of the 4X4.. That engine will fit a b2000 though and the tranny is the same one so you should have no problem..
