Just sayin hello

I've been into these REPU's for 20 yrs. I've had 2 74's and now just have a 77 project truck left. Don't know if I'll ever get it done. I've also had 2 86 an 1 87 RX7 and 1 RX7 turbo II that I wish I still had. Should never have sold that one. I've been on some earlier sites and have attended several of the 7stoc events. I've moved alot lately and haven't had facilities or time or money to get anything done on this 77 for quite a few years now. I'm hoping that getting active on this site might get me more motivated to do something with it. I've got several grand tied up in hotrod parts for it. It's going to be really nice if I ever get to it.

Oh yeah, I'm also long time good buddies with TimPA136.

I got him started on REPU's way back in 86.

OK, posted some pics. Look for MyMazdas in the photo gallery.

Old yeller was the first. It was a beater hot rod. It was a nice clean yellow high mileage unit when I bought it. It didn't run but all it took was a carb cleaning and a tune up to get it going. I put a header and open exhaust on it and tweeked and tuned on it till it would run like a scalded ape. Had some nice wheels and tires on it. Then it got stolen. Cops found it up on blocks with a rattle can black paint job. I got it on the road again but she never ran quite the same and then blew an apex seal out the exhauset. It ended up a parts truck for the green one that I kept stock and put about 20K on. It blew a heater hose on a sub zero day and sucked in a big gulp of cold air and cracked the block while zoom zooming down the freeway in Salt Cake City. It never ran again. I sold the 2 repus and the RX2 (that I bought as is) to a guy in LA before I moved here to Reno.

Good to hear from you 77repu. Looking forward to your visit.

It's true, when I rode in your first truck I knew I wanted one and my friend Ed found one for sale in Truck trader
in San Diego which I bought right away.

Did you find those key parts you need from the move?

Welcome to the forum.

No luck on the parts yet. I've got a coulple of boxes burried in a shed that might have some in it. It's still a mud bog from recent weather around it so I'm waiting till it drys up to get in there. The next few days are forcast to be sunny and warmer. That might be enough to do it.

Did you chack out my photos?

Welcome to the group. Don't see many 77's. You can't tease us like that. What kind of hop up parts do you have for it?

You're going to find out in detail shortly.

Unfortunately, despite my desire to do otherwise, circumstances are forcing me to have to make the hard choices. Some of my projects have to go.

I will be posting it all for sale as soon as I take some photos.

Just to wet your appetites:

I have an Atkins 13B reman and their Camden supercharger w/manifold. A rebuilt 5 spd and Racing Beat flywheel clutch and pressure plate. Exhaust header and pre silencer.

OH, and a set of centerline wheels w/ BFG's (NEW)!

I'll be looking to make a package deal with the truck, but will sell seperately if need be. I still plan on comming to the meeting on the 14th so could bring them with me.
