Forgot to mention that if anyone is ever willing to come down my way. We can do a BBQ at my house. My street is about 30' wide and all of my neighbors park in their driveway or garages so the street is always wide open. I'm exactly 30 minutes south of Temecula.

Good idea TIMPA136 I have thought of something like that and that would be great except it gets expensive and hard to create on a sticker and such. Great idea though. Anymore good ideas?

So for Sparky and Brad we need to call this the motivation/inspiration repu meet. But what ever works. Sparky got up at 1am and wanted to work on his truck. Hope to see those trucks real soon. Sparky post some pics. Brad . .. need any help?

Sticker/logo . . .
I put 2 up because I am on the thinking of keeping it simple but then again I kind of agree with it needing it to say. "Rotary engine pick up" on it somewhere as well.
So anymore input/ideas? What about color? Keep it Mazda blue and all uniform or all different colors?

Max. I like the idea of a bar b que at your pad. Lets do it sometime. The only reason for the meet to be in Orange County was for it to be most centrally located but I think we should mix it up and head down to your pad. Plus, if you dont have somewhere to drive then the truck gets no exercise.

So does March 14 sound good so far for eveyone for another meet? Al, get those RX's to come too and maybe more. Those cars are bad azzz! I am thinking we could get 6 to 7 more Repu's out there.

Some color choice might be nice , blue is fine or White might go with all trucks.

March 14 works for me too.

Follow up article . . .

Here is the follow up article in the newspaper. The editor was there and said some nice gentleman gave them a tour and explained the Rotary engine etc . . . I think it was Albert. He was doing a damm good job at it too. Oh by the way . . Albert and that bridge ported truck is a daily driver (like XP882 and repuzentn) he puts on 100+ miles daily. Thats awesome!

It's great to see this followup in the paper.

"Roughly 100 people attended the event." Which event was that?

Can't wait for the next one. Oh, and my rotating assembly came back from the balancer shop. 12gram difference in front to rear rotors, the added some weld to rear counterweight, removed a tad from front. I'm so jazzed to put it together.

I was thinking the same thing. . . Apparently the burger joint said he had about 100+ people came in on that sunday over his normal sunday avrage. Must have had the sunday church rush later or something or maybe some more of the older Chevys showed up when we left.
Right on Brad .. get that thing done. . I want to see it

BBQ AND Brads balancing

BBQ sounds great.

Would we bring our own steaks or reimburse You.

And/or a potluck?

Balancing. I've always thought that is an important part. Brad were the rotors mismatched??
Years ago I had a windsor engine balanced and the shop didn't index the pressure plate to flywheel, I felt it until it was corrected.

They are both C weight S5 n/a rotors, brand spanking new with bearing. 12gram difference. I'm using an rx8 shaft and aluminum RB pulley so thought it would be a good idea to balance. Not necessary since the shaft is balanced to itself and the counterweights are the correct S5. But it'll make a difference and be smooth as glass.

We didn't balance the flywheel or pressure plate, just rear counterweight to front pulley and everything inbetween. I've only owned one other rotormotor that was balanced, a 12a J bridge and damn that motor is smooth. All the way up to 10,400.
