What's it worth?

I have a 76 repu with a 60,000 mile stock, old school 4port 13b and a ridgeback 5 speed tranny that functions well. I'm considering selling the motor and tranny as a combo. The motor also seems to run very well. It sat for some years, had an oil change and fired right up and ran smooth.
How much is the combo worth? Also, how much seperate?
Thanks
Brian

...

...well... IMO, it's worth whatever someone might be willing to give for it, and/or, whatever you might be willing to accept.

Personally, (and no offense intended, whatsoever!): I'd want to get to drive on the engine/trans., if at all possible... and fire it up cold, after having sat overnight, at that.
(Not that I would doubt your word -- but just to evaluate it personally, and reassure myself... based on past experiences with used engines).

Bear in mind that as desirable as this setup might be for someone looking to restore a REPU (or even rx-4, or cosmo...)to stock condition -- let alone the potential desirability of the ribcase 5-speed for high-power applications -- that internals for the trans. have become hard to come by... etc., etc... Not to mention that the '76 motor might not be as desired... (?)

A ballpark guesstimate: $1,000.00; possibly, twice that(?)

All depends on who's looking, what their budget might be at any given time, and how much shipping/freight might run, these days...

...and just exactly how *mint* this engine and trans. really are.

Might even bring more if sold separately...

If it were me, and you were local... and I had some money to spend... I'd probably offer
a few hundred, because that would be about all I could afford. (no offense!)

I might be interested in the tranny if you were to sell it. I pulled my factory 4-speed out because it needs work and since I plan on driving the truck often a 5-speed would be better on gas. Keep me posted.
