Yes, A thin strip of aluminum stock shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

Spray gun method of fiberglass? Oh hell no! :D As far as I know, the molder I have in mind does everything hand laid. I couldn't begin to tell you what resin they use though since I'm clueless. I can try to get all these details though. First things first, how many of you guys are up for it? Then I need to start prepping the fenders.

BTW: I just noticed Seven Stock is at the end of September. That might be a little too soon. To be honest, I was not planning on attending. I haven't been to Seven Stock in a few years since IMO that show has gotten progressively worse over the years.

I do plan on attending the Japanese Classic Car Show though, which is planned for October 12th and is a much better venue for any Japanese old school aficionado, whether you are a rotary guy or not it's hard to beat the quality of the cars and the owners. Went to the JCCS last year with my wife, son, and even my parents. Everyone had a blast and they all want to go again this year.

If these cannot be ready in time for Seven Stock is that a total deal buster for anyone? I'm not even sure if they could be done in time for the JCCS in mid October. At this point it is still way too early to give a time estimate since I need to prep these, travel to SoCal and speak with the molder. Not trying to scare anyone away, just being upfront.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

shipped or picked up in person is fine with me either way.

If not ready for SS or JCCS then if possible, getting people together at another time/date/location is fine with me and may be a good excuse for a REPU RUN. I know the San Diego guys liked it when we met at Stone Brewery for example.

FRP Fenders

Fenders either shipped to the house or picked up in person is OK with me too. Sevenstock XI or the JCCS would be fine if they're done in time, but wouldn't be a deal breaker if not. I like Brad's idea of a REPU run someplace just as well and maybe better.Let me know if this is a done deal and if you need a deposit. If you're short one or two pair to do it then I'll bump my order up to 2 pr.

Count me as a 'perhaps'...

...all depending on my financial situation, etc., at the time of completion.

I would think that it might be prudent to do as significant an 'overrun' beyond the initial confirmed orders as possible, since others will eventually want them as well...

Perhaps there might be a cost-effective way to distribute them up here in the NW, what with the high cost of shipping, these days(?)

yeah it would be real cool to have a fiberglass bed, im in for fenders though, and a hood would be nice.. if it is the same guy making the ones on the old 2s and 3s out here in socal then they should be good quality. count me in. hopefully it doesnt happen at the end of the year when work is slow, but i should be able to spare $600 regardless

FRP Fenders

Vincenzol, what is the present status of this particular project? If it has been abandoned, I would like to move any commitments to another project or two.
