I have a fast REPU...

I took it to the strip last spring.. my best run was 13.9s 1/4 mile at 98 MPH. At the time I had a 88 turbo 2 stock... pinged it to death not too long after that...

I just got the REPU back last weekend with an 88/90 RX-7 Turbo2 Engine (90 rotors, 88 everything else), 3mm apex seals, haltech e6k, 1000cc injectors, street ported. Tuned by Rotary Power USA in Gardena, Ca

I had one some years back that I would love to relocate now, http://members.cox.net/showam1/ (look for REPU link)

I beat many unsuspecting cars with it, It had a turbo alternative 13B that had been bridge ported with twin weber carbs, this engine dynoed at 225 HP. It was built by "rotary engineering" out of california. It was custom painted in a cadillac color "firemist red" if I remember, and had custom hand painted stripes along the bottom of the bed with a little "rotary" emblem in front of the back wheel. Battery box was shaved as well as the bed hooks. The stripes were an exact match to the aluminum wheels gold tone.

The Rotary Engineering turbo alternative setup

was a 13b streetport, with the dual weber 36 dcd's. 225 at the flywheel.

Are you sure it was bridgeported with the 225 number?

Good story either way, thanks for the info.

Every time I see pics of Brads REPU I get depressed thinking how mine could look like that with a little (lot) work. I aspire to one day have mine looking that nice! Before the body though I have a S5 13b with the full fuel injection setup to put in. Will give it a street port and shoot for around 150 HP to the wheels.

sweet!

Look forward to another fast Lawn Green REPU tearing it up. It was a lot of hard work and dough, but worth it every time I take her out. Quite the conversation piece. Anyone can do it, just takes the right dedication and resources. Luckily I was able to wire wheel the whole body in my driveway + bodywork + rust fix without intervention......

FWIW my 13b 4port mild streetport + dellorto put 144 to the ground. With restrictive 1 3/4" I.D. glasspacks that are louvered inside. So real I.D. is like 1 1/4". Tax return may fix that next month :)

Hook's sweet light blue REPU dyno'd 175 to the ground (on same dyno) with an IDA, don't know what size chokes.

Keep us updated with progress Tom!!

No, Not sure, about the "bridgeport" it was a long time ago :P
It did have the dual 36dcd's so you have the right engine in mind. Funny, not many I've talked to know that engine. It was a beautiful truck, wish i could find it :P

Thanks!

I've lowered it since then and done some alignment work, it handles better. In the market for light 15x8 or 16x8 6 lug rims. For Kumho v710 rubber.
