Drove a piston MiniTruck today

I now own a 85 Dodge/Mitsubishi pick up with a MIGHTY 2.6L 4 cylinder. The truck looks good, good lines, new paint and rims and tires. Got it in a deal.

It is a slug. A good looking slug. But slow as syrip non the less.

I have driven it around for a change for the past few days. Just for a change. The only change I want to do now though is make change for the guy who buys it. Its out front for sale.

I had forgotten what the rest of the Mini Truck owners put up with.

A slug....

Few Years ago...

A few years ago, before I bought my first RX-7 even, I test drove a few trucks... One thing I noticed was they had NO power... I though the car I came from (an 81 Toyota Corona Station Wagon) had now power, but these were re-f'ing-diculious! I stepped into a RX-7, turned it on, hit the throttle, and ouch! I was bit by the rotary bug.. fast forward to last year, and my first experience with the REPU... same feeling.

I can't wait until the T2 conversion is done :)
