IRS I want one any suggestion on what to use?

I have seen a few done, but I was wanting one under my courier. I was thinking Rx-7 or 300Z.
Any suggestions on which ones to use or what to look for?
Thanks

generally not worth all the effort

too much time and $ involved for the benefit. in a nutshell, rear irs will make a car handle better on unevenpavement like severe camber turns and switchbacks. only best utilized on a racetrack.

rear IRS cannot support the payload of a live axel either.

Mariah put 2nd gen rx7 IRS in a 1st gen and it didn't handle all that much better and not worth all the labor to fab.

if you want the rear to handle better why not just remove some leaf springs to soften it up since it's too stiff to begin with?

Well the Key factor here is I am not gonna try and race a courier. Nor am I interested in it riding like a caddy. I am building this truck for pure fun. I am upgradeing possibly to a 2.3 tubro motor and adding air ride suspension and channeling the body to sit lower as well as extendeing the bed sides to match the rocker panels.
I am just looking ease of install and the most common to get ahold of.
Building a rear frame is not a problem for me actually it will be easier for me that building the motor. Atleast a lot more fun b/c I enjoy it.
Thanks

The courier wasn't sprung quite as hard

as our REPU's are, (or so I thought)... Still, if'n ya wanna go the full-custom IRS route, I'd guess there's a jaguar rearend setup you might wanna look into... that would give you inboard discs as well...

Try looking into corvette rear ends of certain years. I was under the impression that they too were self-containted units. Could be wrong on that.
