Porterfield R4-S pads and shoes. Buy 1st gen rx7 pads (for 81) and send them your shoes and they'll clean and bond new material to them.

Stainless braided lines - take yours to Earl's Plumbing and they'll make some up.

Replace all wheel cylinders if they are stock/original. Adjust them tight. Check drums and rotors.

Or fab your own big brake kit.

brakes

thanks for that info , i did some investigating and i found direct replacements for the truck by porterfield r4-s :fronts 79.00 rear 109.00 and r-4 for race use are 145.00 front and 169.00 for the rear . formyride.com or call jerry at 18885637227. also if anyone wants to try his two part dura gloss pollimer he will give it to you for free to try if you post the before and after on the repu sight . my trucks paint sucks so maybe someone with a good paint job can take advantage of the freebee .

I bought the shoes from porterfield directly and they needed modifications to fit. i think they're for a later model truck as they're very close, but no cigar.

the slot where the wheel cyilnder meets the shoe was wrong,i had to grind and reshape the very ends of the shoe down. the holes for e-brake wrong, had to redrill.

that's why i was saying to send yours in - they'll clean, bond new material, paint, and ship back and it'll all fit nicely.
