WTB: Pre-'74 Courier/B-series Dash & Steering wheel

If anyone happens across a dash out of a b-series or courier before 1974 and its in good shape (not totally rusted thru) and reasonably priced, please forward it along and I'll throw a couple bucks your way.

For reference a pic is below. I like the look of the all metal dash and am looking to swap one into my REPU. Natch I'll be selling my pristine original dash assembly out of my '77 if/when I source a pre-'74 unit.

I like the classic truck feel of the steel colour-matched dash. I don't mind throwing a couple bucks out as a finders fee depending on what I can get the unit for.

Same thing goes for the steering wheel. As long as it comes with the "M" horn button.

Thanks in advance.

I'll pull the right gauge cluster and replace it w/ a tach (I hate clip-ons).

THen I'll weld in the radio portion of hte dash and that should be good for three small gauges and there looks like there's room for two more on the left side of the dash as well.

That's five guages for oil temp, water temp, gas, A/F ratio and boost. Nice decorative trim rings, try to keep it looking classy.

That should be enough gauges but if its not its only a preliminary plan I'm sure I can find a better arrangment.

I'll be building a lower center console to house the stero and stuff. I'd rather the thief tear apart a FG box that took me four hours to build than rip apart my dash which would be nearly irreplaceable.

To answer your question directly:

As little as absolutely possible.

I know that isn't very helpful, but I don't know what a good price is, so I'm just wanting as cheap as its possible to get.

If you're out in the yards sometime anyway and happen across one can you ask for a price from the yard? I can't imagine they are in very high demand but that hardly seems to effect how the junk guys price their stuff.

Thanks,

Are you still looking for that dash? A Friend of mine is parting out a 75 Courier and the dash looks identical to that pic, why does it need to be pre-74?

I guess it doesn't. I was under the impression that the dash in that pic was only available pre-74.

The reason I'm interested in it is because of the all-steel one piece dash. Its smooth and flat-ish and would be nice to colour-match to the rest of the truck.

I'm interested provided he's not under the impression that these things are made of gold :)

Any chance of getting pics and price?

You can email me directly off list if its more convenient.

Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled, I didn't think anyone would remember this post.
