I might consider letting go of one...

...the question is, would it be nice enough for what you're after? I'm keeping the best... and they're all projects in some manner of speaking. However, I am within hours of Seattle...

I have seen the one in Lake Oswego. Runs good, has header. Needs all the poor re-paint removed and redone. Original color yellow. No sign of smoke or other indications of age. Battery box intact! If you can do basic body work, it would be a winner.
Early Rx7 5 speeds are a fairly easy conversion. Not sure about the clutch pedal and such. Seems as if it would share with other Mazda PUs with hydraulic clutches. No need for a difference.
That truck was converted for a manual, but they said they didn't have the parts they removed. Should have all anchor points still there, but you would want to look.
They implied that the auto shift handle was rare and hard to acquire. Most of them thrown out, I'd think! (Trade goods?)
Different flywheel and counter balances on automatics. Find a real expert (not me!)on that, mismatch is unpleasant.
It's been on the market for several months, so you might get some negotiation. Didn't sound like it when I spoke to them about four months ago.

Ah, the drivetrain...

Usable 4port 13B's are becoming ever more the rarity, aren't they... Agreed, a decent running motor, and the RB header exhaust, are desirable... and I would have to seriously contemplate their replacement cost before letting go...
That said, perhaps we should be in touch anyhow?
Give me call at (541) 689-7178
I have yet to figure out how to get pics to go out over the 'net, but I'm working on it... (Soon, soon...!)

swapping over the auto to a stick is not hard the courier stuff does not work though.... i don't remember if i have an extra set of pedals right now or not i have a few parts trucks but alot of autos, the 79-80 rx7 5speed is darn near drop in, as for the 13b 4ports i recommend building a new engine or ordering one from some place like Atkins Rotary built as follows, 81-5 cast irons, GSL-SE rotor housings, 86 13b internals, you end up with a 13b 4port using realtively new stuff

I understand about the other bits...

...nitrided side plates, and the newest rotor housings... but why the '86 internals? Due to lighter weight rotors?

I used that combo because the compression ratio (quoting off the cuff) was the same in the 13bs from 74-88 (NA) but if you look at rotor weight the 86-88 NA is the lightest of the bunch, they are easy to get and cheap, also people like Atkins rotary have started making a 2 piece apex seal for them in place of the original 3 piece design i never liked, if you put the oil bypass pellet in the e-shaft you prevent the most common 86 problem.... seems to me the easiest least expensive way to get a NEWer 13b 4port..... do a port job on it and it goes a long way to breathing better without loosing fuel economy or driveability. want to go more radical no problem but with the availability of the 74 style housings for cores and the cost increase and rarity of older 4port engines was a win win situation.
