my tach was rarely working. sometimes smacking the dash would get it to work. I took it out and cleaned it up. It was out of my truck for months (i was conservative with the RPMs). I tried installing it today, and it doesn't work at all. I checked the wiring and it is good all the way to the tach itself. i had my voltmeter working as a tach, which was kind of interesting.
so...does anyone have a extra working tach and willing to sell it? Was the same tach used in any other vehicles?

My 77's tach acts the same way. Seems to work better in the warm weather. I am also in the market for one after wankeldreams gets his. Have no idea about the tach's being the same for all models.
