They are the same...

The 2nd gen starters that is. Any starter for 2nd generation 86 - 92 will work provided you are using a matched 2nd gen tranny and flywheel.
There is no difference between a NA or a TII starter.

thanks for the info!

I wish I knew that yesterday.I went to the local wrecking yards and found lots of 2nd gens but no turbo.Looks like I'll be going back for a starter, and yes I did have to replace the flywheel.

I have a TII drive shaft!

It has 115,000 miles on it, and is in good shape.

Asking $110 shipped.

Thanks anyway!

I bought one from rx-7 heaven for $125.00 plus shipping.I take it with my repu driveshaft to my local driveline shop to get it modified and it turns out, they could order a turbo 2 yoke to match the repu univ. joint. Parts and labor out the door,$106.92. Needless to say,I know have a t2 driveshaft that I no longer need. Any reasonable offer will not be refused.

That sucks!

I think it could have been done! I had a TII drive shaft, made onto a supra front yolk.

But it cost me $150 just to have that done.

Ohhh yeah, and do you still need a starter?

I have an NA starter, that I can have tested to make sure it is good. If you want it I'll take $50 shipped.
