Don't know how solid your tank is but I just cleaned, derusted, and resealed my gas tank using Por-15 products.
They sell a kit here:

But all I did was buy a gallon of Castrol Super Clean at the auto parts store, a gallon of Marine Clean, gallon of Metal Ready and the Standard Fuel Tank Sealer. Last 3 products I listed are Por-15 products.
The key to refurbishing a fuel tank is excellent cleaning and derusting. Applying the Tank Sealer is icing on the cake.
