When you divide the crown gear teeth # by the pinion gear teeth # you get the ratio.
I think the automatic trans used a taller gear, they always do. Like 4.35 or even 3.90.

I've seen and heard of more than a few Buick V6's going into REPUs, must have been a kit made somewhere, or the price / availability / size of that motor made it appealing over the enigmatic rotary. It was a budged hot rodder motor for a while there in the 80s/90s.

Yes it is from a 4spd truck, 1974. Located in central Illinois. Drum to drum price is $350 obo.
