fenders
just curious if anyone has a set of decent fenders they would be willing to sell my driver side suffers from a failed attempt to repair by previous owner and the passenger side is pretty much just rot.

IMHO, clean/straight fenders are worth hundreds apiece... how many hundreds is a good question...
Then there's the question of location, and shipping. I shipped one cross-country a while back.
Nothing I own is likely near as flawless as what Bruce has -- but I do have one or more parts/project-grade trucks potentially available... and there are restorable fenders... even if they'd need some work.

flawless fenders would be nice but as long as they were usable that would be ok as well both of mine are messed up along the back side of each fender. I'm in western kentucky a.k.a. the land of rotted body panels and rust.

very cool. seeing how the repu i own is the only one i have ever seen in real life is it common for the fenders to rust out behind the front wheels down low? and what would you want for a pair of fenders in repairable shape? don't think i can afford mint condition fenders right now.

You mean, what would it cost to ship 'em to Kentucky...?
I'll start the ballpark guesstimate rolling by suggesting that you'll need at least $500 -- or more -- before a pair of fenders arrives...
Email me if that's not out of budget.

I hear ya. You might want to try contacting some of the other members here that are located closer to you; maybe someone is still parting a truck in a location that you could pick up from, and avoid the expense of cross-country shipping...?
Haven't heard from Charles (jfaplanet) in a while... maybe he could point you somewhere (?)

Well I don't have any spares, but if the rust is in the lower panel, you might find some courier fenders to chop up to replace your parts.

I bought what was supposed to be the last front fender in the US for my '77 from Dave Atkins in around 1990 for $350. He had another one oh his wall a week later. Clever guy, that Dave...
