breath new life- WTB parts- LSD upgrade, etc.
I am trying to bring my recently acquired '74 REPU back to life. I am need of: hood trim, R headlight trim (chromed plastic), front bumper center section, valance, tail light trim ring (1), a R fender, header (13B), intake and carb (or injection) upgrades. Any leads will be appreciated! Please respond with a price! In the near future I will be making a 316 stainless steel battery box. Anyone interested? I will have a price to post soon. Also, does anyone have parts for the LSD upgrade that they would consider parting with?

You needa...
...parts REPU, or two... ;)
Bumper center = same years Courier.
Valance = Pure 'unobtainium' -- get the Pineapple Racing fiberglass repro. If you ever find a straight original... don't run it, keep it safe!
Brad is 'the man' for the Limited Slip setup, (as well as the know-how about all the other ways to make the REPU handle!)... (check all pertinent old threads).
Intact trim... comes up on Ebaymotors from time-to-time... and/or can be very hard to find in mint condition. How good is good enough, and at what price?
It can be a long term project to upgrade, bit by bit...
Where are you located?

valance
Pineapple racing requires at least five orders (the last time I checked) of fiber glass front lower valances to be placed in order for them to be able to reproduce another batch again. So, if your interested let me know because you can count me in on it and then all we'd need are three more. Anyone else???

I needa...Klauss44
Klauss, I am in Spokane, WA. I was GIVEN this truck from a guy that had it given to him. He had aspirations of bringing it back to life, but found he didn't have the gumption anymore, and since I was beating his door down asking if he would sell it to me, and my explaining my previous experience with REPUs (I had a gem about 18 years ago), he decided it was in the best interest of all REPUs everywhere to pass it on! I cleaned out the carb, gas, etc. yesterday, and oiled the rotors, then fired her up today! I wanted to make sure she would even light off before doing a full tune-up. It last ran 4 years ago. I hope to post pix of both of them very soon. Anyway, on the subject of the LSD, I was hoping to find someone who may have began collecting parts but decided for whatever reason to not follow through. So now I know I probably will not need a new motor, I can get on with it! Got to look into the back-firing now. Not sure if the needle and seat were not sealing, or plugs are fouled (they were BLACK before I started it), corroded electrical connections, or what. The longer I let it run, the more it back-fired, though it would idle pretty well. My priorities now are:
header (exhaust system is SHOT)
electronic ignition (including a full tune-up)
fix the seat! (replace/re-upholster?)
new carpet, body trim, intake system,LSD, etc. as parts come available, then finally a new coat of paint!
