Brake master cylinder
I am trying to locate a master cylinder for my 75 and not having much luck. Does any one know if it is the same thing as the Courier? Thanks in advance

It's not the same.
Different bore size, if memory serves... This is one of those parts to at least try to source via a friendly Mazda parts manager -- see about doing a VIN-specific parts search; you might yet get lucky!

Unsure about the clutch master...
You might still be able to find a clutch slave at some auto parts stores; they're pretty much identical to the ones for the rx-4 and '75 cosmo... although the actuating rod might be a slightly different length -- so, once again: Save everything! You may find that the rx-4 is even still listed in some parts books, whereas the REPU is harder to find...
You could go with a 1st-gen rx-7 slave cylinder -- but the threads for the hose are *fine* on it -- instead of the coarse ones typical of the oldschool ones...otherwise, they too are identical, except perhaps for that actuating rod...

the great parts hunt continues!
yeah, if the parts counter guy doesnt show anything listed for a 74 Mazda Pickup w/ rotary engine, I usually start rattling off the usual crossover vehicles like the RX-4 and Ford Courier. He looks at me funny and asks if I have all those cars. I just jokingly tell him that this truck has more crossovers than Steve Nash! haha... ok, bad joke...

I bought one from some auto parts store, and it was a courier/mazda one bored out to the correct diameter bore. That wasn't quite right....I had to use a mallet on the inner fender well to clear the plumbing. Lines have more clearance on that side in the courier....It did work, however.

FYI
After ordering yesterday from Rockauto I got a call back from them and it turns out that they don't carry it any more either. I tried Napaonline and they at least had a part # for it that the local store did not have. The part number for those that might be interested is 39254. Thanks VintageMazda for the heads up.

Kiefer Mazda, (541) 686 -8291, ask for their Parts Dept., and see if Larry is still the parts manager. Tell him I sent you, and ask him about the VIN-specific search... ;)

I got one from Advance auto parts, but could only get the bottom part (no reservoir). Problem was, it took an unreal about of persuasion to seperate the reservoir from my old one, then even MORE work to finally insert the thing into the new bottom section I bought from Advance. Of course, dang thing leaked. I noticed that rockauto sold the entire thing (double $$), that worked out.
Perhaps you can get the bottom section from advance and do a better job than I making it work?

Sorry to hear about Larry!
I might just have to try to look him up as a private individual, and see if he still has some friends/connections in Mazda Parts... Guess he retired/was laid off/quit (?) when the dealership moved locations here not too long ago...(?)
Bummer, any way you slice it! Larry was just a great, friendly guy who was willing to do whatever he could to be helpful...
How about trying to source rebuild kit(s) to go through what you've got... have you considered/tried to go that route?

...if our fellow Member 'Vintage Mazda' might have access to any...(?) His sig. line states that he sells NOS Mazda Parts... (The guy currently auctioning off the chrome locking gas cap(s)).

I am running an rx4 master cylinder I picked up from AutoZone. It works good enough, the only difference I could tell is the tab on the reservoir that bolts it to the cylinder had to be cut off. It still seems to work fine.
