Dude, the 4.62 is going to suck unless you plan on taking it to the drag strip. 1st gear will be useless.

Indeed.
If anything, you'll need the taller rearend from the '77 to even begin to take advantage of what a bridgeport has to offer... provided it was properly built to turn the kind of RPM's that B-ports make their best power in. Hope your rotors were 'race clearanced', your stationary gears hardened, etc., etc., etc.
You'll want AmsOil gear lube in your trans. and rearend for sure. You may also want to run a synthetic in your engine, once broken in...
BTW, you may find that collecting your 'long primary' exhaust prior to a megaphone/muffler at the very tail end will yield superior results to any 'full dual' setup.
