shock part numbers
Anyone have some crossover shock part numbers for some HD front shocks??
Installed some KYB's 15 years ago, but they are now "weak' after lots of cross country trips and many miles.
Need something that can handle a slightly shorter travel as I plan to lower the front about an inch from stock at the wheel well opening.
Also looking for some stock front springs to shorten....
TIA,
Bob C

I have some front springs that have been cut and also lowering blocks for the rear. However I don't have the the longer u-bolts but I do have a part # for some that you can get through 4wheelparts wholesalers. Let me know if you are interested.

Tokico Gas Shocks:
Part numbers HE 2610 and HE2709 ought to allow for anything from stock ride height to several inches of drop -- provided they're still available -- (?)
(You'll probably also want to check out the other, older thread(s, RE: Shocks, etc., and perhaps take into account Brad's R&D in this dept.)
Should you choose to cut your own springs, suggest retaining your stock REPU ones intact, and cutting a Courier pair.
If I recall correctly, AIM industries in Arizona makes (or used to make) lowering blocks which featured built-in compensation for the revised driveline angle... FYI.

For Stock Use..
I just bought a set of gabriels for the front. Had to use 74 ford courier for the part lookup at autozone. Perfect fit, $15 each.
