On the top and kind of on the side of the tranny, I think on the drivers side there are two small inspection covers. Under there are some linkage devises not sure what they're called, but they have a set screw in them. I think 6mm with a 10mm head. These have been known to come loose and back all the way out leaving you shiftless. Check them out and tell me what you find.
