For My reference (and yours too)

I was thinking about making a new design, something that is a bit more robust, and won't hang down as much when disassembled.

My neightbor is a welder, so when I get the truck back from the shop I'll ask him for his advice...

BTW, T2 engine going in on friday Woot!

Don't forget the little Mazda Factory Bungee strap that is used to hold you door up while servicing your battery. If some of you are wondering what those little hooks are on the inside of your exterior battery door? They hold this little strap in place when not in use.

How does the little bungee hold it up? I see the hooks in the door but never figured out another place to hook the bungy. Does it hook onto the bed somewhere? I still have the factory cord in my '74 and it isn't even brittle, previous owner must have taken good care of that thing. Rest of the truck was abused though.
