When I first put a ribcase in my truck...

I was showing 105 mph cruising with traffic on the freeway. Put in the speedo gear from the old four speed and the speedo reads fairly close now.

I still have the speedo gear from my 74 4 speed. Would that help?
I need the rod that goes between the clutch slave cylinder and the fork. Mazda doesn't offer anything. Would you happen to have a spare?
Where are you at? Is LA correct? I am in Oregon, north of Klaus a bit.

Hi Roaddancer,

I would like to buy your speedo gear from the 74 4speed. How much $ ?

Unfortunately I don't have any spare ribcase parts. Not exactly sure what rod you're referring to. Is it the clutch slave rod itself that pushes into the fork? If so only a new clutch slave can be purchased whole. Got mine from Mazdatrix last month who had to order it from a dealer.

I'm southwest of Los Angeles. Redondo Beach. Would you like me to paypal the $$ or send a money order?

The rod from the slave to the clutch fork is what I need. Not included in a new slave cylinder, which I just bought. Since I am mating it to a 1980 Rx7 5 speed, That is the correct rod, but I know a REPU rod will work, having done that last time.
Haven't any idea what to charge for the gear. It is the complete assy. that bolts into the case.
Send me an Email and we can work something out.

I have clutch slaves/rods aplenty...

...and actually, there are different lengths... if I happen to have the one you need, it's yours! Will you be coming to this area anyhow, sometime soon, or should we USPS it?

BTW, what was previously in place, where the rod's now missing?

An AT! Which is about to be for sale.
I can maybe get my daughter to come by. She lives in Springfield. If you email me your address, I will send her by. She owes me big time for getting her Subaru fixed. Probably need to update my email address that you have. I moved.

How's the knob project?

I have some memory of a rod that had an adjustment capability, but I don't know which one that was, or brand of car even. I did rebuild the servo on several different Mazdas over the years. They were a use it or lose it part. Parking long term made them leak.
All I have left to get is the rod and the hard hydr. line. I ordered a new flex line and am waiting to see it. I may fab something. I seem to remember that brake fluid and copper lines are incompatable. Does that ring a bell with you?
