I need a new rear wheel cylinder

I need a new rear wheel cylinder for my 74 Repu.

The part number is Wagner# F100751 (R.H. side).

Local parts house tried to order it and Wagner has discontinued it. The L.H. side # F100750 is still available.

I tried three different francise parts houses and a search of their warehouse came up empty.

Any other options? Help a Repu brutha please.

Obsolete parts dealers...

There's a few that regularly sell on ebaymotors... just a question of when which part shows up. You might try searching completed auctions, and contacting the sellers...

Here's the deal......

The two different part #'s are just mirror images of each other. The brake adjuster arm screws into the casting and can be swapped to the other side along with the matching piston.

I have an N.O.S. of each number -- the actual markings and casting numbers are identical on the base castings. I just got two of the available F100750's and I'll just convert one over to an equivalent of the F100751 unit to fit the other position.

Wheel cylinder specs

Scotty G,

My 1974 Technical Data book says that the ID of the REPU rear wheel cylinders should be / was 3/4" or 19.05mm.

The info I have for the Wagner cylinders you mentioned is:

WAGNER
Rear Wheel/Cylinder-Left
13/16", F100750, 74-76

Rear Wheel/Cylinder-Right
13/16", F100751, 74-76

(thanks to NWACO for this info)

The same technical data book indicates an ID bore of 13/16"for the 1974 B1600 and B1800.

I would have to get out my hydraulic "basics" book to tell you how this would affect your braking. It may be inconsequential, I am not sure.

Just thought you might like a "heads up" on this.

Best Regards,
Bruce Toski
