13B W/ Camden Supercharger

It seems as though I ran out of room on the last thread.

Anyway, this is for Klaus, and all of the rest of you: The long sought after invoice numbers for my purchase from Atkins Rotary are # 7024 and # 972759.

I have had over 1130 hits on mu ebay listing, but only one bid. Now, lets see some action!

John

Well I waited until the very end to go after it and Muskmellon if you are on here I am sorry, I was not going to bid against any of you on the forum, I just thought that there was no interest in such a fine piece of equipment

Congrat's to you, Rotarydave!

It's a bummer, but I didn't get to see the belated reference info. (Invoice #'s) until it was after business hours for the week... sorry!
Wasn't for want of me asking for this stuff via email a while back...
Guess this is how it goes. Oh well!
Hope you both are happy with your transaction, and well taken care of.
All I can say is, to anyone looking to do business with me down the road: It's all about clear, timely communication... which is what I strive for.
Don't wait until the last minute!

Is "Rotarydave"....the one and only....

and elusive "Rotarydude (248)? Are you one and the same? Because "Rotarydude", the ebay Mazda rotary buyer almighty, is the winner.

Is that you?

I thought that I had cleared that up, sorry.... YES FOR THE RECORD I AM ROTARYDUDE. I just could not see that motor going for that price. I have worked for Dave Atkins in the past and maintained an excellent working relationship with him for our stuff in Texas (he is almost exclusively where I get my engines from). Not to mention that this engine will go right into the project that is at his old shop. Also for the record I am currently in Balad Iraq with an Engineer Unit, we are due to be rotated out in the next couple of months and I am supposed to be returning to the US and going to FT Lewis Washington, convient I would say. Also if I offended any of you while buying stuff on Ebay I am sorry. Please do not hesitate to contact me as the rotary community really is too small to make enemies. If I am sometimes hard to get ahold of please remember what my everyday job is and you will have your answer.

Nice to meet you Dave....

Best wishes to you in your present occupation.

I personally take no offense to the Ebay bidding wars that we here end up engaging in because we all share a common interest and there are obviously limited resources on which to draw our supplies. I, probably like many people, get a sort of sinking feeling when you enter the bidding fray for an object I too want. Let's face it, you are a relatively formidable opponent as we have seen by the prices your capable of paying for what you want. We are probably all just bummed that you are doing what we wish we could do.
At least it's nice that someone can do it.

It would be nice for us to be able to work out decent prices for the stuff, but many of us welcome the high prices we get for stuff we sell as much as we hate the high prices we have to pay for stuff we want.

I like the idea Craig has of selling his stuff with private auctions that way, people don't see who they are bidding against, and it can tend to keep peace in the family. But, as he says, you loose track of the rest of the bidders, and that is a bit of a bummer for the seller.

Anyway, nice to meet you, and I'd love to hear more about this legendary 60 car or so Rotary collection someday. Do you have pics or a website, or.....

Likewise, to be sure!

'Du-ude! Where's my wankel?' :) :b
Man, you rock. We're all at least a bit green with envy...
Kinda wish I'd got the lowdown, bid, and won that SC motor... but that's the breaks! At least you're more prepped to install it sooner. I need to invest in chassis prep first, anyway...
Glad you're finding time to join us here on the Board, I'm sure many of us will benefit from your experience and expertise!
Hope you rotate home soon.
