Our buddy Lars in Sweden

really, really needs a good battery box... Consider it might be a good deal for both of you, and besides, it'd be going on the ONLY REPU in Sweden (!) I know you want to trade, but... Just a thought. If you're willing to consider the option, you can find his contact info right here on this board...

I do not know if this is the parts you are looking for... I hope you can consider to sell this box to me and my repu project...Even if the manifold does not be in your intrest...

You can mail me and we can try to make a deal...

In responce to Help a rotar buddy: I feel tradeing it for a 6-port 13b 4barrel intake is a fair trade And I know at least 3 people personely who would like a shot at getting it if it gos on ebay.
The last battery box I bought cost me 200.00,(in1996)and it didnt have the little handel retaner spring, this one is in 1983 condition(needs washed/has some red paint overspray on it). And you see I have a wife and 3 kids if I sell it She's not going to let me just dial up raceing beat and order a new 220.00 car part, that is why I would prefer to do a trade.

thanks

Is the box complet ???

I will go for it too, if you put it out on the E-bay...
Itīs a chance for me to get it...
I wonder if itīs in good condition and complet ???
If i be the winner i have to pay a high price for the shipping also , because it might be a heavy thing...

I have to live on water and bread for a couple of weeks if itīs going over $300 or more...

If you Dana change your mind ,about this just let me know...

A swede that are hoping to buy a battery box...

Thanks ...

Racing Beat products

...are generally highly desirable in my book, if in good shape. Certainly the appropriate RB intake manifold is preferable to a homebuilt 'pipe' job...? Now, about the cost of shipping to and from Sweden, and, just how good are the original hinges on that b. box? They seem to be the first thing to be compromised on 'em by the ravages of time...
BTW Lasse, did you ever get that drive shaft deal worked out w./ rotortuner?

If you know where they're hiding,

you'd be foolish not to snag 'em all... not to mention every last oldschool rotary car/truck part available for the 'right' j-yard price... After all, Craig could use a new part-time job, and it would be a sort of 'public service' to our community as well! We could open the only one-stop oldschool shop on the west coast...

junk yard

While you are at the junk yard pick me up some extra louvers for my sp and a fresh crome peice for the hood of my repu, I can use a couple spare rear taillight panels for my 76 rx4 also. do you think they have a 3rd headlight assembly from a tucker there:)
hinges are good on the box,the repu frames are in good shape,we used to part out the ones(repu) that were beat or had rust. I wish I would of had a place to store alot of the rxcars and repu;s that went under the saws-all
I have had the frames at my mothers house in idaho since 94

I might know where you can get those rare '76 rx-4 parts...

...that is, unless Kick takes the whole car off my buddy's hands... I could tell you where to go to make offers on potential 'parts' REPU's for that hood trim as well... but I'm still holding out hope I can get one or the other myself... Maybe some of 'em aren't so overpriced after all, if an intact B-box is worth 2 to 3 hundred... How much do I hear for a chrome hood trim?

Yep, I am thiking about picking up that Rx4, and put her back on the road. I have a 86 6-port, just waiting for a new home. :)
I am also in need of that chrome hood trim. I never got one with my repu :(

klaus42, is this one of the Rx4's you sold your buddy?

rx-3sp, do you need a 77 repu cab, or have you already cut that one up? I looked at your profile and it said something about you needing to cut up a 77 repu cause it had a engine bay fire. If you need a cab let me know.

Yes, it was...

That rx-4 was one I picked up in Portland years ago, car-dollied down to Eugene, and put a motor in that came out of a badly thrashed '74 I called the 'buzz bomb'... I ended up stripping that one for parts. If the rear quarter of the '76 hadn't been bashed by some idiot in a parking lot, it'd probably still be on the road, perhaps with a fresh motor... I've been on Mike's case for some time to not strip it for parts, rather to get it back on the road with someone...

77 cab

Right now The 4s are on the back burner, but if the 77cab is located in the northwest I would be interested, I could sandblast mine down but it would rust out between the seams as it got very hot, I am planing on useing a 75 nose and cowl section and the roof and back panel from a 77 courier to cure its burn problem. If I go that way I might just strech the cab a extra 6inches give or take. It would be a lot less work to just switch the cab over. Please let me know the location of the cab.
thanks, Dana
P.S. in the message Icons where is the rotor icon ??;)

I wonder if you Dana can buy a -77 cab, for your wife, it probebly gone cost you some $ dollar... I am not picking on you , i just wonder... Itīs your buisness how you do with your car parts , for me i have no probs... If a women gone deside what a man gone do... Then the man have no life... If your family really needs the money why donīt you sell the box and let them have use of some of the money... Insteed of power up your cars with a holley carb...

I am waiting for you to put the box out on E-bay , I have saved some money now and i can follow up to $500 or more if it be needed... I am used to pay high prices so why would this be diffrent!!!

I knew that the Repu i bought needed a lot of parts and that it could be costly to get it together , so i have spend lot of dollar on it up today... Why i say dollar is that i have buyed all parts to it from the states... And i have to buy more...

There might be some other Repu guy that want to sell his battery box to me so just mail me , here is a chance to make a really good proffit on that battery box...

I have tryed to get a box for over a year and i am not gone wait until i die...

Thanks the swede...

Holy Shit

$500?

This settles it then... I'm DEFINITELY not going with a showroom-look authentic restoration.

I can build a new battery box out of aluminum or sheetmetal/mild steel for less than $50.

I care more about outward appearance and updated internals thankfully.

Good luck with the whole ebay thing, looks like its going to turn into a real bloodbath.
