FS: Original '74 REPU Exhaust Parts

Hi All,

I have been sorting through some stuff that came with my REPU. I'll be offering equipment up to go to a better home if I'm not going to use it. First few pieces are all original '74 REPU exhaust parts:

Thermal Reactor with inserts:

Main exhaust section from thermal reactor to axle including pre-silencer:

Both of these parts are in rough shape but perhaps with some love and attention could be made to work in a truck that was going for the all original look. Parts are $10 each or best offer. They each weigh about 30 pounds, and wouldn't ship very nicely so I'm hoping for a local buyer. If you really want it shipped it will be on your dime via UPS from zip code 92649. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Judging by the forum crickets chirping I'd say this stuff is headed for the dumpster then. Anyone want to come get it before I chuck it?

Plenty of people aren't on here all that often.

That said, there's not much demand for stock exhaust components... except perhaps in your home State... where, if I were you, I would hang on to these bits... 'cause you never know when you might have to put a stock exhaust back on, when they legislate the next round of BS.

Other than that, I know that some time ago Neal (kansei) had expressed interest in stock exhaust components.

Is the rust 'surface' enough to be cleaned up and converted?

Hi Klaus,

It's hard to say. I'm also pretty certain the thermal reactor is actually hurt. I can see from the outlet end straight through to the far end of the chamber, which from what I understand means the end baffle has burned away (and I see evidence of this). I also see that the internal pipe on the downpipe from the thermal reactor has broken / rusted / burned away from the flange. I guess this stuff isn't in very good shape at all. I'll leave it in a corner for a little while longer. It's free for anyone who wants to come get it.

Wow- I'm surprised my "radar" didn't go off. Klaus is right- I want it! Do you have a Greyhound terminal near you? If you can wrap the parts up in some bubble wrap, it will probably ship to the Grand Rapids Greyhound terminal near me pretty cheap. Or, if need be, we can go USPS, UPS, whatever. Get in touch if you can get a quote or actual shipping cost to either Greyhound or to my house in Greenville, MI (48838). As long as it isn't utterly rediculous, I'll take it all.

Thanks,

Klaus, thanks for putting in a word for me!

Hi Neal, I've emailed you. I don't think these pieces are worth shipping to be completely honest. Pictures of condition are on their way.
