I am a believer that a seller should post a price for their goods. Negotiating is OK, but should be done off-line. Do us all a favor and post a price. You never know, someone may think that $2000 is fair, and pay it! If you post $50, which implies that you would be happy with that, post it! This is America, and we are free to put a price on anything we own. It is not fair of anyone to dispute a posted price. My $.02 worth. I want it, and if I think the price is fair, it will be a done deal.

If we are free to put a price on anything...
...what price our FREEDOM to not have pricing policy dictated to us?
I think what the market will bear determines what something is worth to somebody... (although my personal sense of fairness generally prevents me from pursuing that strategy).
Anyone unable or unwilling to make a good-faith offer either needs to do more homework to determine value/desire, or just needs to get serious about being a buyer.
