what would you guys think about...

me parting out my truck? I like the idea of building it back and I'd love to have a working rotary truck but at the same time, I have too much going on and could use the $$.

Post here if you need a part and how much you would pay for it. Please be descriptive as I am still unfamiliar with the REPU community nomenclature.

This is not saying I am going to part it out but I am checking to see what is the best path for me right now. It's either sell the truck whole, part it out or, get a working engine in there and enjoy the truck.

Thanks for all of your help and patience with me being the uber-noob and for my constant indecisiveness.

I'm in SoCal and the truck doesn't run right now though it is in good shape (IMO) the body is clean and straight, already primered and has extra parts. No visible rust but I didn't do a comprehensive search for it and don't know which areas to check if the REPU has places that are particularly prone to rust.

As for selling the whole thing, I doubt I'd get enough out of it to justify selling it. From what I've seen, these things gor for (estimated) $1500-$2000 in the condition mine is in but I would rather keep it and get it running for $1000 investment than sell it for $2000. I expect I'd get a little more than that for the parts and the community would gain more spare parts.

Again, I'm not certain what I'll do yet, just researching different plans of action and weighing my options before I do anything. Thanks for your help and information guys!

If it's in that complete and good a condition...

...parting it out is a crime. Remember, too, that your time and trouble for parting, cleaning, packaging, shipping, etc., adds expenses to the cost.

Assess the ultimate rust-less-ness and overall quality of your REPU carefully, first.

Parts is parts, but a complete, straight, relatively rust-free REPU is rapidly becoming a greater rarity!

Of course, she's worth more with a running 13B installed...

Don't do it; get that motor in there!!!
