Parting 74 repu, lots of NOS

After some serious thought I have decided to give up on my truck. Lack of parts availabilty and condition of my truck are the two main reasons. Now the good news is I have quite a few goodies to part with.

This is a list from the top of my head. I will double check all my boxes and add in the extras that I find. Prices are set to what I belive are resonable prices for the market. I have been buying these parts since I picked up my truck last December. I just want to say Charles I prtomised you dibs on the chrome wheel rings if you still want them. Also I will give you dibs on the bumper if you want it since I know you are in need of one.

Red tailgate with slight surface rust (no holes or dents) $150

Original Spot mirror $100

Towing mirrors with some rust $25

Glass vennt windows (six available) $45 each

Door glass (four available) $75 each

Front windshield (no cracks & 2 available) $100 each

Rear windshield (no cracks & 2 available) $80 each

Restored Katzin leather dash pad (MINT) $165

Front grill (all tabs in tact) $100

Front grill #2 ( two tabs broken but still mounts) $75

Front end grills (small 1/2" crack in the drivers side one at top) $55 pair

White tailgate latches with chains (very good condition) $55

Heater core $25

Mudflaps (four) $65

Good condition drip rail chrome trim $30

Restored condition grill rotor emblem $85

Repu steering wheel $25

Drivers side front fender (fair condition with no major dents) $100

Pass side fender (very bottom edge rusted, no dents ) $85

Battery box (very good condition) $80 (Martin I will ship yours)

Front bumper ( near mint, one or two very small dings, dime size and chrome is very good) $200

Wheel beauty rings (full set of four) $60

Rotor shape hub caps (full set of four) $40

Gauge cluster (all working condition except the odometer and that can be made to work again) $50

Rear view mirror $20

Center console $20

Wire harness $35

Leaf spring bushings (set of four new from Charles) $20

NOS cabin light cover $10

NOS gas cap and gasket $40

NOS window felt set (four) $65

NOS Front windshield rubber gasket $35

NOS Rear window rubber gasket $35

NOS Upper tie rod ends $85 (pair)

NOS Lower tie rod ends $85 (pair)

NOS Rubber hood bumpers $10 (pair)

NOS Wheel bearing $10

NOS Clutch master cylinder $35

NOS Motorcraft front shocks (pair) $55

NOS Tokico rear shocks $75 ( I payed $100 for these)

NOS Windshield wiper fluid plastic bottle $30

NOS Wiper blade refills $20

NOS Pass side bumper turn signal housing $45

NOS Pass side turn signal plastic cover (orange face) $45

Hardcover Factory parts catalog $100

Hardcover Factory work shop manal $60

Softcover work shop manual $25

Large fold out wiring diagram $25

That's the stuff that you might find interesting. Keep in mind that the vehicle was complete before I disassembled it so if you need something please ask and I will check for it. Chances are I will have it. If any one is interested in the cab, frame, bed or the rear end I will sell all of that for $175. That would have to be hauled away on a flatbed from my shop in Southern Maryland. I have a running and complete 1984 B2000 that I will throw in for an extra $100. That one will drive away but it will need a battery. I have no title for that truck. It came off my brother in laws property.

I accept paypal and certified check. Prices do not include shipping. Pleas email all requests to restorationworkshop@hotmail.com
Thanks

NOS Front windshield rubber gasket $35
NOS Rear window rubber gasket $35

Are these brand new never installed?

The battery box is complete and is in pretty good shape. I remember being happy to get it when I bought it. The towing mirrors I also have. Please send me an email to restorationworkshop@hotmail.com and I will forward pictures.

Hey Steven, Did you receive my email about the leaf spring bushings and the hood bumpers? If not, I'd like them if they're not said for.

Sooooo.......Dave.....

Does this mean you don't want a hood or battery door anymore? :)

That's a real bummer, that you must throw in the towel, but man do I ever understand you have to pick you battles in life. I too struggle with whether or not I spend the time and money to save a vehicle.

I myself finally have decided as of late to start scrapping out some of the trucks to better use the parts for me and the gang to help more trucks live than to have the parts deteriorate in the yard for the sole purpose of keeping a single truck together. Your effort here will do just that in helping others get more trucks in better shape while only putting down one.

Have you thought about skeeping the parts and getting another chassis? I have a couple of very nice candidates that I would sell off for not much more than shipping and I think you would be quite pleased with the condition of them.

You put so much effort in getting the parts and your shop going, any chance we can convince you to stay on and start with a better chassis?

Hey Ken, Yea unfortunately I think it best to get while the getting is good. It is a real disappointment especialy after all the work I have done so far in collecting parts, making plans, and trying to clean my truck up.I would take you up on your offer if I were on the weast coast. Being in the East makes it tough to want to do a repu. I am happy to get some of my money back for these parts and pass them along to someone else who is in need.

I got have a few more things that came to mind.
I do also have an original factory WSM that is soft cover in addition to the ones I already mentioned. I'd take $35 for it. This one might be interesting. I have the original vehicle owners manual in the plastic button down case. Pages are all in good shape and the cover is not torn or anything. Real nostalgic. :) $60 for that bit of history to throw in your glove box. I have all the chrome interior handles in great shape. I have some decent white door panels, pass and drivers side. I have a decent white headliner. I have a full set of brake lights with all four chrome trim rings in excellent condition. I think those might be worth $25 each set (plastic and trim ) or $100 for entire the set of four rings and four plastic covers. Those are kinda rare.
I have the all headlights and their buckets, $45 each side.
Theres is more I am not remembering. I will keep the list as current as possible. I realize that some of this stuff will not sell but I would like to offer it up anyway. After a year of watching Ebay nghtly for parts It is nice to actually see a good selection listed.

Anyway I am looking for a cj7, so please buy these parts up and help me get one. :)

I was wondering on that headliner, is it possible to re-install that or would it be something to use in making a pattern? If you think it could be installed I am interested, what do you want for that?

Do you have the engine bay fuse box cover? I was so depressed, mine got lost last weeekend on a road trip. Now the search for a new one begins.

Also interested in the front windshield gasket. If the other guy doesnt take them I want second dibs.

I'm still interested in the window seals. I just sent Steven an email asking for his PayPal account.

Hey Tom, The headliner could easily be re-installed. I think i torn one edge removing it though. It would be best to use to make a new one. Anyone with basic boyscout sewing merit badge could handle it ( sorry I was a Life scout)
Don't have a nice pretty cover but for the fuse panel but i do have a cloudy plastic one somewhere.
I'd take $35 for the headliner and mounts.

Damn, it's a feeding frenzy !

...if I weren't clear cross-country from you, and had better $$$flow at the moment, I might be into a few items myself, however...
I think our buddy Neal (kansei) might like the mudflaps, etc., etc.; I'll alert him to this thread ASAP.

Sorry to hear Dr. Strange's thrown in the towel.

Yeah.. late to the party...

...but, Klaus is correct. There are some things I'm interested in. Wish I had seen the thread sooner, as the towing mirrors (depending on style) I definitely would have taken, mud flaps I am interested in, center console (the fabled floor piece that hides the heater core?- I'll take it if so), and maybe a few other odds and ends. Let me know the condition of the stuff I'm interested in. Pics can be sent to kansei@pathwaynet.com

Thanks.
