84-B2000

84-B2000, Ok one last time, If this doesn't sell now I'm parting it out and using it to put a 7 back together and make a trailer out of the bed. This is an 84 B2000 that has an 85 RX-7 12A installed. The frame was modified with a 74 REPU frame to accomindate the Rotary. The truck is all there it just needs a little more TLC. I know for a fact that the shutter valve is bad and it won't pass emissions. It does need a front end alignment and brakes. Options include, dealer installed AC that needs recharged, AM-FM, SE package, bed liner, Long bed, 5-speed, front air dam. Pictures of the truck are posted on my website at http://members.home.net/crgj/Page0002.html and
http://home.bellsouth.net/personalpages/PWP-spuds. The rock bottom price is $1000.00 no less, if I can't get this I'll use it for parts. I have a lot more than that tied up in the frame and engine. I will begin parting it out on 3-15-02 if I don't get any bites.

Why not post it on ebaymotors???

...I would suggest listing it non-reserve, with a starting bid of, perhaps, $999, making sure to include the keywords mazda, rotary, 12-A, 12A, and rx-7, rx7, as well as the B-series designations and year, not to mention common misspellings of all of these... that oughta getcha some attention! Of course, posting some nice, detailed pix of your truck would be essential , too... Good Luck!
P.S.-- Wanna upgrade to an actual REPU? I really can't keep all three of mine... (to good home only!)

I've considered E-bay but there's cost and I was trying the cheap way first. I am looking for a true REPU but only a 74 since I have to pass emissions and 74 is exempt. I was trying to get the red one that REPU-GURU had but missed it by one day. I had to sell some of my toys to make room, and didn't get them sold in time. I have located a 74 REPU in the middle Tennessee area but its a total frame up restoration. Let me know about your Truck, and what part of the country your in.

Well, drive, I think it would, but it needs the front end aligned and brakes for sure. It would be easier for me to tow dolly it to ATL. But if you have a definite buyer I will deliver for free. Let me know and if he wants more info I will provide and I have more pic's.

...so, do you mean it was restored, or needs a frame-up job??? My three trucks: all '74's, two have motors in and run, one is my driver. I'm in Eugene, OR.--across the continent from you, I'm afraid... They're all projects, more or less...they all usually are, unless they've been restored... I'd be happy to provide further details if yoy're still interested; you can email me at klausdp@hotmail.com, or call me at (541) 683-6204.
P.S.--Thank you for yor blessings, o kind guru!

Say goodbye to the B2000

Well no one wanted a 84 B2000 so its going to get parted out so that others can live. I will use the parts to update the front end of a REPU and use the Bed as a trailer. The wheels and tires can also go on the REPU as will most of the interior, carpet, seat, AM-FM, AC. Then when there's nothing left but the shell it will go to the crusher. If anyone knows of someone who wants or need parts their 78-84 Sundowner or B2000, lots of parts for sale cheap, doors, fenders, grill, bumper, good glass, rear sliding glass, rear window louver, 78-84 long bed liner, hood, and I'm sure there will be other parts I won't be able to use.

...The only reason nobody wanted it is you didn't pull the rotary out and sell it to some schmo for cheep w./ no motor, I'll bet... vast majority of folks won't buy rotary anything; they're not rotorheds... rheds only want 'real' rotaries... catch 22! As I recall, pix of your truck looked fairly clean... proper advertising might be the key. "Perfect project for a budding rotorhead..."--find 'em in the rx-7 club, or the minitruck crowd??? Just some ideas to make life easier (i.e., less work ripping apart what was put together...) --I hope-- K.
