No, the truck is solid. Frame, floor plans, etc are all in good shape. The truck spent most of its life in california, but then Nebraska and now Illinois as well.

OK possible to put some pictures of the underside on ebay?

And also how severe is the rust on the panels? I can see there is some on the driver side mirror.

Any dent's that is not showing on the pictures?

I can tonight. The rust is not severe. The truck will need paint as it has the original finish and most of the rust would be taken care of as part of the process. The only real bad spot is by the windshield where you'd need to patch it. Even then it's maybe an inch worth of material.

4000 is a bit high i think as it will need new paint all over.

With the rust underneath on the frame, everything will need to come off. It needs sandblasting, paint and a full underbody protection on it.

And there is alot of small rust places that needs to be taken care of.

Willing to accept any thing lower then 4000?

i have seen three REPUs sell on ebay this year for twice this asking price with good - not pristine - cosmetic condition. none of those were as fresh mechanically much less had the engine work/build into them. i feel what i am asking is more than justified.

if you are looking for a concours quality restoration, then i suppose you would need to blast the frame. having lived in the midwest my entire life i suppose i must be semi-conditioned to accept certain frailties of moisture. i could use a brillo pad to wipe off the surface spotting on the frame, or if i felt so inclined primer and coat it as is. i guess what i am saying is, its in no way in dire need of extensive blasting on the undercarriage nor is it close to being structurally compromised. my 2005 mazda3 had equivalent undercarriage 'corrosion'. paint the exterior, absolutely. i think its hardly worth it to do anything otherwise.

the asking price is what i have into it, and gets you a better engine and driveline with essentially no miles. i can understand wholly if one doesn't want to spend the asking price. i'm not desperate to sell it. i am sure my wife would be happy to have the space, but based on what is under the hood, the rarity of the trucks themselves especially where i am at, i am comfortable with the price.
