the tan 75 restoration/general clean-up project looks to be about 2-4 weeks from completion. i took the original tow mirrors down to the crome shop last week, to have the stainless pieces polished and everything else re-cromed. when you actualy get mirrors totally apart , there's alot a pieces. total cost of restoring mirrors and brackets 6 hrs labor making new upper mounts to match originals{except stronger} and 420.00 for plating. the roof and cowl erea came out great,the paint match is great. for anyone interested this truck will be for sale when it's completed.

i should have mentioned this before.all painting work has been done to prevent a very common rotary truck problem. leaking water into cab from shelf below cowl and rust under front window seal. since i will be keeping this truck{ if i don't get what it's worth} the 2 major erea's are done. i have a brand new factory mazda windshield gasket that will be going in. i'll try and post some new pics soon.

the blue 74 is now in colorado, my buddy drove it from san jose california to medford oregon and from there to colorado. he had no problems the whole way.he put 2,200 miles on it in 3 days. i'll bet his ass was sore for a couple a days after that drive.

orange 75 not tan as thought
it's now down to the little stuff, this project has come out way better than i had hoped. the more i look at it the more i hate to sell it. pics of completed project are at http://groups.msn.com/MazdaRotaryEnginePickup rtrypwrs trucks page 3.
