The cover is the same as the Courier light so your chances are doubled. Look on ebay for the Courier light and I bet you will find one.

Dome light

I am no home right now so I can't check but try an RX8 trunk light! Seems to be the exact same thing only improved with bigger vents. Since there is an RX8 in just about every wrecking yard, get the whole assembly. Or the guys parting out on ebay i use a guy nammed mrmazda in texas.
Be kinda cool if they made the same parts after 40 years!

It won't work? It is just a few strips of strategically bent and positioned brass...

Mine wasn't working because a section of harness under the dash that ended up feeding power to the light had fried itself...

my truck doesn't have a dome light, and it's really very annoying. I like the idea of swapping a more modern one in just for the safe of having one. gonna look for some wrecked rx8's and go with that idea...

Can anyone describe or post a pic of the factory light location? it would really help me out in an idea of what to look for that will be OEMish looking

The dome light is mounted right next to the drivers left temple near the seatbelt upper mount.

I just bought a new dome light cover from this guy:

http://www.brilesvintageautoparts.com/inventory.php?show=SEARCH&searchValue=dome+courier&Search=Search

Brand new, came in the original Ford box. Only thing is it looks like I got the last one he had. The ford part # is still there, though so maybe a search for that on ebay, etc.
