Are the ignition switches the same between all year REPUs?

My ignition key is what looks like a masterlock key and I would like to replace it with one from another truck. Now I did find one but I have no idea what year model its for. My question is are all REPU year model ignition switches interchangeable? (I have the 77)..

77 ign switch

77 ign switch is more elaborate than earlier years ... although the keys may be the same layout.

Thanks for the info. Im gonna pull mine out and see how many contacts it has. I also put in a question to the seller as to what year it came from...
