Triangle corner window removal

Ok, what's the secret to removing the small triangle corner windows? I was out at u-pull-it today trying to grab a new passenger side one (frame and all) but I couldn't get the bottom post to release. Is it a permanent door fixture? I didn't feel like tearing the door apart to try to get it out, thought I would ask here first.

There were 4-5 Couriers out there if anyone needs any parts, several nice hoods, doors, fenders, tailgates, etc. Unfortunately "Ford" and "Courier" are scrawled everywhere but that could easily be remedied.

The best way to remove it is to remove the window frame completly from the door. It has a spring and retainer on the bottom that hold tension on it so that it will stay open when you crack it open. My Drivers side is a flopping right now, just haven't had the time to take it apart and fix it. Good luck. What part of the country are you in. I'm looking for a good hood. Both of mine are pretty rusty. Shipping would be a factor. Thanks, Charles

I'm in Sacramento CA.

So you basically must tear into the door to remove the frame, or is it possible to do from outside? I didn't see any easy ways of getting it out.

Window frame removal

Well to remove the window frame the inside door panel has to come off. Then the 2 screws at the front of the door inside the door jam have to come out. Then the 2 screws at the back of the door inside the door jam have to come out. Now at the front of the door (inside with the door panel off) there is a bolt that holds the frame in place. Its straight down from the frame that holds the window. Then it just slids up and out of the door. Good luck, If you need some pictures I have a door that is apart here I can send to you. Just let me know.

Thanks for all the info. I've taken out the window frame before so I'm familiar with it, I was just hoping it would be easier than that. Yes several other trucks have the same windows, I found about 10 good candidates at the yard so I'll have to go back and really tear into it. Almost seems easier to swap out the door, too bad there probably aren't many RX-3 SP blue Couriers floating around. That sky blue color is close but not quite.
