kill one to save one?

i recieved a parts truck when i bought my truck. pretty much the parts truck only has good cab sheet metal, pedal assembly and clutch master cylinder and a title. those are all parts i need. should i feel bad about cutting the blue truck up to save my green truck?

The soul of the blue truck will live on in the green one. I don't think you should feel bad if you're saving the truck that's in better shape, and you do your best to re-home the parts you don't need off the blue one. Speaking of which....

I could use a "door checker bar" off the blue truck if you have one. It is the little bar that bolts to the chassis that keeps the door from opening too far. My truck, inexplicably, is missing one.

Thank you. I really appreciate your input. Apparently no one else cares.

Maybe it is too touchy-feely of a question for all the manly-men here on the forum. LOL

So...do you have that part I'm looking for?

Another REPU just popped up near me. Short money, no motor. I could use a few parts but I don't have the heart to take it just for that. It could definitely be road worthy, but it looks like the previous owner tried to install a sunroof and I can't imagine for the life of me why, the truck is already a green house on warm days!

Anyway, if you don't think your second truck will make it on the road, by all means take what you need and ask around to make sure no one needs anything else before you junk it.

Speaking of which, I could use the spare tire mounting hardware. I have no idea what it looks like, I just know my truck doesn't have anything under there. Post a few pictures of the truck and I'm sure you'll find others here that could make their trucks more road worthy with your sacrifice.

frankenstein that bad boy together. there aren't enough of these trucks left around to really get all the parts to get them both back 100%....and hell if you have a parts truck....why not right?

That's the thing, I only have parts for one. I need patch panels cut out of the cab of one to repair the other. I only have one interior. One grille and one set of exterior trim.

That's what i was suggesting...if you have to cut one up to save one, then why the hell not. better then having 2 rotting trucks

I'm convinced. I'm cutting it up. Who needs a roof?

This guy could use a roof...unless the giant hole was intentional. But why would you want a moon roof? The truck is already a sweltering green house.

I'll take that roof!!! Seems that one on Boston CL followed me home last night. Needs a roof, and hood. Anyone have a hood they would be willing to ship to New England?

REPU parts to NE.

I am headed to NH from NC in June and have a Hood, front grill bumper and valance I would like to sell, but they are not cheap, since they are Arizona sourced parts with no rust.

How much is not cheap? I am interested in the hood for sure. Would you include hinges, and the rod to hold it open? Any trim on the front of the hood? I need that as well.

I have to check but i believe the hood still ahs the hinges attached.
The trim is still attached and in excellent condition.
I may also have the prop hinge.
I would refer to sell all the parts [ hood, bumper,3 pc grill, valance] as a group, but would part with the hood with trim and prop rod for $350 dlivered to your area with a convenient meeting place along the way to NH on Rt 95 [128] or 93.
I would repeat these are pristene AZ rust free parts
