pineapple racing valance

I just saw some pics of this on the photo gallery. there isnt anything about it on there website, and i am actually very close to pineapple racing. they did some work on my fb a few years ago. I wonder if this is still available at all...or if anyone has one floating around?

id like to see some distance pics of it installed if there are any people here using one...

I think its just a fiberglass replacement for the stock valance. So from a distance it should look the same. If you search there are a few threads about group buys from a few years back.

The last I heard Pineapple would make more if they had at least 10 firm orders. Never seen one myself but do to the availability I would get one if they were to built more.

I'd prolly get one too, just in case some idiot hits me. I have a spare front bumper but not the valance.

I talked with Rob from pineapple racing back in Nov. Going back through our e-mail exchange he mentioned he wouldn't be interested in making anymore without at least 8 pre-orders. He said his last batch of 10 took over 7 years to sell. A rough price estimate he gave was $140. If others are in need of valance, like myself. We could possibly do a group purchase.

Does this look any different than stock?

Can you post a pic?

It is stock looking, I have one on my truck. He took a mold off a straight stock valence. You have to drill the screw holes, there is a dimple where each one goes. And the lip on each end is a little off. But it's the straightest valance you'll ever find.

I may be in for one as a spare.

I think if he had a booth at SevenStock he could have sold ten in one day. Or just put them on eBay.

I guess I'd be in for one as well. It can't hurt to have a spare. Since it's fiberglass, maybe I can mod it a bit too.

Count me in.

I can reach out to Rob again and see how he'd like to handle this as there is some obvious interest.

Rough count shows 5-6 so far. Any one else?

I'll first reach out to Rob and find out if he's interested in making them. If so I'll get an updated quote. I suspect $140 was a ballpark figure he gave.

Talked with Rob and it sounds like he's interested in making a batch for us. Price is $140 per unit, not including shipping. I'm not quite sure at what quantity he's looking for to place the order. I'll get that cleared up. FYI It could take some time, so be patient.

In the meantime, here’s where he posted the valance, feel free to place an order.

If you’re the cautious type and don’t trust links, feel free to go to their website and search for "valance".

Just confirmed with Rob he'll start manufacturing the parts after he receives 8 pre-orders. The total price comes to $158, which includes shipping.

If your interested in getting a valance, or just a spare. This is your chance.

I am interested in one. I live in the PDX area so would it be a little cheaper for me if I just pick mine up when he has them ready?

I'll check on how he wants to handle local pickups.

I just tried to purchase the valance from his web site, even though it says shipping's included it tries to add additional shipping costs. I suspect it's a simple oversight. I'm checking with Rob to clear it up. Will hopefully have an update by early next week.

Products ready for purchase! I just submitted my order.

Worked with Rob and sorted out the issues.

When you go through the "check-out" process you'll hit a screen with shipping rates, sine our shipping rates are included in the quote. Select the hyper link "click here for rates". That will take you to another page where it says 'no shipping-local pick up'.

If you want to pick-up the item, add a note in the purchase and he will either not charge you the full amount or will refund you...just make sure to make a note.

Group buy is now underway...
